Haibane Renmei (BD, 720p, AAC)
Haibane Renmei, because I wanted to watch it. This is a smaller version for those who don't want to download 13 GB. The quality is pretty much the same, just with less grain, if you're into that sort of thing. Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteHaibane Renmei is not my taste but was bored and downloaded the bluray source, dmon's sub and coalgirls's sub to compare. In my own opinion,
ReplyDeleteDmon: 720p with AAC, cestfait sub, faithful to the bluray source, 4.4GB
coalgirls: 720p with FLAC, cestfait sub, unnecessary or extra grains added throughout the episodes(sharpaamcmod?), 14GB
Just my 2 cents. Take whatever you need.

ReplyDeleteIm sick and tired of coalgirls bloated shit. Even their bloody 720p encodes are > 1gb, while their 1080p ones go up to over 3gb...
Yeah, failgirls are pretty crappy. Despite the huge file sizes their releases still have banding, not to mention those awfully bad raws in Sacred Blacksmith. Thanks to DmonHiro for Renmei, even if it's such a cheap ass upscale of an already low quality show. Those crooked eyes will haunt me for weeks...

ReplyDeleteQuestion. If you were to redo Bakemonogatari from raws would your mux be 600 megs an ep compared to a gig+ ?
ReplyDeleteMost likely. The later Needless episodes I encoded are about 600-700 MB per episode at 720p. I don't think Bakemonogatari has more high speed action scenes then Needless. The 1080p would probably be about 1 GB though.
ReplyDeleteHmm the 1080 of 化物語 bakemonogatari from leopard raws are around 600 megs and look great. Plus no stupid full color block signs over flat areas of screen text. WTF was up with that?! Most times they did not even match the color on screen.

ReplyDeleteI can't seem to play ep11. I can watch every other episode just fine. I downloaded from torrent initially, then tried the DDL, but neither worked. Checksum shows that both files are not corrupted. Doesn't anyone else have this problem?
