Thanks! This was one of my favorite horrible shows in a while. Most shows are just mediocre or bad. At times, this one is just bad in the right way, to be an enjoyable.
To be honest, my level of respect has risen a little bit after watching the first episode again. They really do drop in a -lot- of foreshadowing and legitimate clues to go along with the red herrings. Unlike many shows of the type, there are actually some reasons other than lack of black holes/light beams to watch it a second time.

I quickly tried the same setup as well and also mplayer, and the typesetting is screwed up for me too.
Is the font muxed? The title calls for "\fnBlue Highway Dotted", and it certainly looks like a special font on your screenshot but not on Anon's. I didn't check more than that.
UTW screwed up the first two episodes of the batch and used standard Blue Highway font instead of Blue Highway Dotted. They just patched the first two episodes of the batch. They used the right font from episode 3 onward.
So you'll need a patch to correspond to what they did: replacing Blue Highway with Blue Highway Dotted. Then the signs will work.
If you have Blue Highway Dotted installed on your system, the signs will look right, even if they are missing from the mkv file.

According to FFF, they havent found new sources since the last one got bust, so most of their BD projects got stalled/slow down a lot. Hopefully they will catch up soon.
And yes Dmon, FFF plans to, but not able to, do this show's BD version. Reason above
Well the last two episodes have just come on Bluray so I'm sure we will get the last release soon enough. Though I won't re watch the series until the OVA comes out later this month.
Dmon did stated that for this series he was going to use UTW's subtitles. Though as of right now UTW hasn't made plans to sub the 13th episode (OVA), so Dmon might not make a complete series batch. Unless Dmon decides to use Hatsuyuki's subs for the 13th episode, though I'd doubt that he'd choose Hatsuyuki's subs seeing as how they hardcoded the OP, ED, and character songs and only softsubbed the dialog in their release. But hey that's up to Dmon whether or not he'd release #13

You're right, the font's missing from the .mkv. Odd, since it's still in the folder where all the other fonts for episode 2 are.
