Itai No Wa Iya Nano De Bougyoryoku Ni Kyokufuri Shitai To Omoimasu (Series rating: 9/10)

Honjou Kaede has never really played a MMORPG game before. But her friend convinces her to play a really popular new VR game. So she does. After naming her character Maple, she goes out to have adventures. But she has no idea what she is doing. Since she doesn’t want to get hurt she puts all her point into VIT. Unfortunately this doesn’t let her do anything else but take damage. Lucky for her that the game she is playing is completely broken. You can do anything in this game. This is one of its selling points. But that also means you can do any stupid thing as well, and the game has to try and account for it. So Maple keeps getting more and more skill because she keeps doing things that the game doesn’t really understand and tries to correct itself. Why would anyone stand still and let venomous insects bite them? Because they are immune to venom. Is Maple immune to venom? No. But she should be. So now Maple is immune to venom. Watch Maple make friends, create a guild and stumble into over-powered skills and abilities that would make even a self-insert isekai protagonist cower in fear.

Oh man, I had so much fun with this. Maple is the sweetest thing in the world. Not only is she cute as a button, but she basically has the personality of a happy-go-lucky puppy. There are no real stakes in this show. It’s just a slice of life. The fun comes from seeing what Maple does next, as the admins can’t nerf her since she became the mascot of the game. And she just keep piling on OP abilities and additional transformations ranging from angel to Cthulu.
