Boarding School Juliet (Series rating: 8/10)
Dahlia Academy Boarding School was founded to create peace between the future generations of two warring nations. The plan… doesn’t really work. The two groups hate each other with so much passion that they have full on brawls every day. The leaders of the 1st years are Romio Inuzuka and Persia Juliet . In battle they are almost equal. Thing is, Romio has a huge crush on Persia. So one day he works up the courage and asks her out… during a sword fight. Surprisingly, she accepts. Now the two have to date while keeping their relationship a secret.
A very capable romance comedy with just a hint of lewdness. The characters were great and it had some actual humor for once. From Scott accusing Romio of peeping on Persia while in the middle of doing the exact same thing to the reaction of Hasuki when she learns of Romio’s relationship… it’s all good, violent fun. Does get a bit serious once in a while, with both factions having some real social problems of their own.
Sadly, these subs are from Amazon. So they don’t have the best timing possible. Still, they’re watchable. Hell, we all watched the shows as it was airing using them.

Isekai Quartet (Series rating: 7/10)
!!! ATTENTION!!!
This release was NOT directly encoded from a BDMV, but from 1080p BD raws. Should BDMVs for this show be released I am more then willing to do another release. However, this is still better then the current HDTV rips that are available.
One day, by some accident (?) the characters from Overlord, Youjo Senki, Re:Zero and Konosuba are transported to an alternate world. Ironic, no? And in this world, they have to attend high school together. Hijinks ensue. That’s it, that’s the plot.
I found it amusing, but you need to have watched all those shows to get all the jokes. There will be another season with the added cast of Shield Hero. So you need to watch that as well before the next season. Worth it though. Enjoy. Subs by Horrible-Subs.

Seishun Buta Yarou Wa Bunny Girl Senpai No Yume Wo Minai (Series rating: 8.5/10)
Puberty syndrome. A mysterious illness/phenomenon that takes many forms. The effect are different for each individual, but they are always tied to the psychological issues of the person. One day Azusagawa Sakuta sees a beautiful girl wearing a bunny girl costume just walking around the library. The odd thing is that nobody else can see her. She is Sakurajima Mai, and she suffers from puberty syndrome. It makes her invisible to people. Sakuta has to figure out what caused this in her before everyone in the world looses the ability to perceive her.
Basically, this is Bakemonogatari without the monsters. It’s wordy, it’s complex… and I love it. The characters are very well written and their problems are relatable. The humor isn’t bad either. Be warned, if you came here only for the fanservice you will be disappointed. I’m not saying there’s none, but it’s not Bakemonogatari levels.Subtitles for the show are from Vivid, while the audio dramas are from MPT, used here with their permission (since I also used their video).
PS: The previous version is nuked. It was completely fucked. Audio was fucked, subs were fucked.

Mob Psycho 100 S2 (Series rating: 10/10)
Continuing off from where season 1 left off, Mob's adventures lead him to meeting new and interesting opponents. But more then that, Mob himself is growing as a person, and understanding that blindly following someone is not the best course of action. Peace doesn't last long as the head office of the Claw organization starts making its move, led by a psychic that may rival Mob in raw power.
More of the same, and that's good. In fact, I dare say the second season is even better then the first. Mob's fight with Mogami Keiji was absolutely fantastic, not only for the battle itself, but for the different paths two very similar espers took. Had Mob not wondered into Reigen's office, he might have ended of like Mogami. Great visuals all around and it was really nice seeing Mob stand up for himself once in a while.
Subs from Horrible-Subs, OVA included. If you are wondering where the clean OP is, you are not alone. Wasn't on the discs.

Katry's Mystery Solving Files (Series rating: 7/10)
Although Professor Layton is currently missing the Layton Detective Agency is still active in London? The one running it is Layton’s daughter: Katrielle. She may not be AS brilliant as her father but she is still an incredible detective, ready to solve any crime. Especially is it involves cake, or dresses, or a restaurant. Yes, Katrielle is a bit of a glutton. And a tad lazy sometimes. Join her, her assistant Noah and talking dog Sherlo, as they solve mysteries and crimes in good old London.
A very sweet and easy-going show. The mysteries are nothing to write home about but they are bound to put you in a good mood, as many of the “antagonists” turn out to be good people trying to help in their own, misguided way. Also, Hanazawa Kana does cute voices for 50 episodes. What more could you want?
Subtitles are as follows:
01-11 = Dreamless
12-50 = Pitohui
Now, about the files:
- Episode 00 is not an official episode, just something Pitohui made from the game. I included it because the show assumes you’ve played the game and thus already know who everyone is.
- The odd named extra opening and ending files are opening/ending for that particular episode. I included all of them because they each have small differences in audio, and I love Hanazawa’s voice so much that they are all indispensable.
- The timing is not perfect. It’s only slightly better then for the HDTV version.
- I left the credits form Ayasaki and Pitohui alone. They deserve your thanks for working on this show.

Sewayaki Kitsune No Senko-san (Series rating: 9/10)
Nakano Kuroto is a hard working man. He’s stay at work long after he should have left, he’ll help out his colleagues and take on difficult project by himself. Sadly that leaves him little time to take care of himself. One day, as he comes home tired and hungry, he is greeted by an unexpected visitor: Senko-san, an 800 year old fox deity that has decided she will now take care of him. She’ll cook, clean and find other ways of caring for Kuroto. Oh, and she can phase through walls, so he can’t get rid of her.
This was the cutest thing to air that particular season. Now this is a wish-fulfillment fantasy I can get behind. Who wouldn’t want a cute fox loli to take care of them? You do need to keep in mind that Senko-san is 800 years old, and acts like it. She’s basically your grandma as a loli fox girl. This show is very wholesome and sweet. It will melt your stress away. Also, the 1st person segments at the end of each episode are… kind of depressing because you’re never EVER going to have that, you worthless losers… Ahem, I mean are lovely.
Subs from AnimeFreak. Last 1st person segment by me.

!!! ATTENTION!!!
This release was NOT directly encoded from a BDMV, but from 1080p raws. Should BDMVs for this show be released I am more then willing to do another release. However, this is still better then the current HDTV rips that are available.
Mikazuki Subaru was always a shy. Now, as a young man working as novelist he’s completely distanced himself from other people after the death of his family. With nothing to live for other then his work he often neglects to take care of himself, sometimes collapsing from not eating or resting enough. Though sheer coincidence he befriends a stray cat which ends up living with him. By learning to take care of another being Subaru learns to take care of himself as well, and to cope with his loss.
Oh! My! God! This was so goddamn adorable. It’s the internet, so I know you love cats. And Haru is the best cat ever in anime. She’s cute, she’s tough, she’s even sarcastic. And her interactions with Subaru are fantastic and accurate. Someone really did their research into cats. But seriously, this anime is great. It’s a very heartwarming slice-of-life about learning to deal with loss by taking care of someone else. And it’s so cute. Part of the reason this works so well is because about half the show is shown from Haru’s perspective. You might see the same thing twice, but because one is from the perspective of a cat it’s like a whole other thing. I highly recommend this especially if you love cats. And if you don’t like cats… we can’t be friends.

!!! ATTENTION!!!
This release was NOT directly encoded from a BDMV, but from 1080p raws. Should BDMVs for this show be released I am more then willing to do another release. However, this is still better then the current HDTV rips that are available.
Myurin's dream was to become assistant to the number one demon of Hell: Beelzebub. He had a very good idea of what the ruler of the underworld was like. His idea was completely wrong. Beelzebub is a slow paces, ditzy demon who would much rather spend her time playing with fluffy things then doing any actual work. She's highly competent at said work, but she gets distracted so easily it's actually amazing. It's up to Myurin to set her straight and keep her working hard. Which is kind of difficult since Beelzebub is a total babe who Myurin's going to fall harder then Lucifer fell from Heaven. And the feeling might be mutual. Enjoy a light-hearted comedy in Hell.
This was a very relaxing show. From the soft color palette to the simple background music, this show is trying to put you in a good mood. There's no real story or conflict unless you count Belphegor attempt to interact with Azazel without feeling the urgent need to pee. This was a good watch for when I was at work. Subs from Horrible-Subs.

Attack On Titan S3 (Series rating: 7/10)
Attack On Titan - Season 3 - Part 1: Attack On Politics.
Attack On Titan - Season 3 - Part 2: Attack On Flashbacks.
Not much to say. I wish I could say it was more of the same but the first half, up until the cou, was terrible and boring. Then we got some cool action. Then part 2 started and was boring as fuck for the first half AGAIN, then we got some cool action. The flashback episode about Grisha though… that was awesome. A single act of petty sadism set all of this in motion. Makes you think. Subs from Horrible-Subs

I swear to Lucifer, if they make another season of this and I have to make another torrent I’m gonna…
Anyways, here is the whole thing. This needs some explaining for how the folders are structured.
TV Episodes: These are all the 3 minute shorts that aired on TV. Subs from Horrible-Subs.
Web Episodes: These are all the 1,5 minute shorts that aired online. Subs from Horrible-Subs.
Special Episodes: These are the specials that were on the extra DVD that came with the BDs. Yup, DVD only. The 1st one is the only one with subs. Also, these are DVD-remuxes, since I don’t like encoding from DVD.
Bluray Menus: I hope you can figure this one out yourself.
As for the show, it’s very cute and you don’t need to actually know the characters or games before watching these. Not as good as Puchimas though.

Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon! - Orion's Arrow (Movie rating: 7/10)
Or why you don’t bring your goddess to the goddamn dungeon.
This movie would take place after season 2, but maybe before the ending of Sword Oratoria. It doesn’t matter, it’s not canon. It’s basically a short arc with slightly higher production values. It’s a fun watch if you loved season 1 because it’s more of the same. It was nice to see some of that power of the gods on display though. Still, this could have been avoided if a certain goddess wasn’t an idiot. Honestly, the story in this is pretty much a fanfic: new, awesome character that already knows some of the cast and is somehow connected to the MC. Acts like a love interest. Is forgotten the moment the movie ends, never to be talked about again.
These are official subs from the US BD, but the video is from the JP BD. Stereo and surround Japanese audio.

Sword Art Online - Alicization (Series rating: 9/10)
After a dreadful encounter with a member of Laughing Coffin, Kirio awakens in another world with no memories of his previous life. He leads a happy childhood with his two friends, Alice and Eugeo. But when the Integrity Knights, the force that protects the land from the darkness hordes, come take Alice way, Kirito and Eugeo swear that they will one day bring her back. The only way to do so is to enroll in the knight academy and become Integrity Knights themselves. But little do they know of the darkness that awaits them. Perhaps it is not the hordes that are the biggest threat to this world.Back in our world, Asuma manages to find Kirito and learn about the world he is in in right now, though in mind only: Underworld.
We’re back with more SAO. And let me tell you… DAMN. I loved this season. I was never a big fan of SAO, but it slowly grew on me. Alicization though, is fantastic. Sure, it’s still a wish fulfillment fantasy, but the directing is absolutely to notch. Be warned, there is an attempted rape scene in the first half. It was very hard to watch. Everything was set up perfectly and you felt like you were there, so much so that I was yelling at the screen. The final battle of the series was also amazing, but so were the other battles before it. You can tell they are bringing their A-game for their cash making franchise.
Subs are from MTBB. I’m only using one subtitle track and it’s not the one with honorifics. Personal choice. Feel free to bitch about it the comments.
http://anidb.net/anime/13493
PS: I just love that the people from Ocean Turtle are working 25 hours a day to create a real sentient AI when Kayabe made one by freaking accident. Kikouka will probably bang his head on a wall for days if he meets Yui.

Love Tyrant (Series rating: 6.5/10)
Seiji is just your average high school boy. He has a bratty little sister, a crush on Akane, the most beautiful girl in school, and no idea how to confess to her. One day a strange girl rings at his door proclaiming to be an angel. Seiji, of course, dismisses the weirdo, but said weirdo simply phases through the door and comes in anyway. Turns out Guri actually is an angel, and she has with her the powerful Kiss Note. If two people have their names written together in the Kiss Note, they will kiss and be bound together forever. Naturally, Seiji wants to trick Guri into writing his name alongside Akane’s name in the notebook. Well… be careful what you wish for.

Kenja No Mago (Series rating: 6,5/10)
When a young man is hit by a truck and killed he is then reborn in another world, because of course he was. He is found by the most powerful wizard in the world and raised by him as his grandson. Merlin, because of course that’s his name, names the baby Shin and teaches him all about magic. Shin’s memories of his past world help him do impossible things with magic by applying science to them, because of course they do. He is sent to the city to join the magician academy, because of course there is one. While Shin learned a whole lot about magic from Merlin, Merlin forgot to teach him something important: some goddamn common sense. So Shin’s falling in love with the first beautiful girl he sees, launches nukes like it’s a basic fireball and pretty much ignores the laws of magic because he doesn’t know he’s not supposed to be ABLE to do those things. A sad thing for the demonized people who want to destroy the kingdom, since now they have a magical super-powered idiot they have to deal with.
As you may have noticed, I am an isekai-trash lover. But really, this anime comes off as a fake isekai, since him being from our world has no real impact. You can replace him knowing about science with him being blessed by mana or something, and it would change nothing. That being said, this show was enjoyable for me. While the story is about as bland as you can get without becoming Cheat Magician, the characters are a joy. Shin’s jealousy is fun to watch because he’s so earnest he can’t hide it. I found it funny how Sicily just has to look at a guy and he immediately falls in love with her like she’s made of pheromones. Merlin and Melida are great and I wish they would have been in the show more. I did actually really enjoy the final arc because it gave all the kids a change to shine, and not just have Shin curb-stomp everyone. Hell, even Sicily had a really cool scene, and she’s a healer. All in all, you can actually do a lot worse then Kenja No Mago. Special props for the ending of episode 12: it’s very easy to make a clip-show and put it to music, but it’s pretty damn hard to showcase the whole series, have it make sense AND time it to the music so it actually looks exciting. Well done, Silver Link.

Heian
Japan, it’s a shithole for anyone who’s not a noble. Not only do the

Kintoki. Raikou is the Golden Knight, he who destroys the horrors. With
the help of the Onmyoji Seimai and his assistant Kintoki he battles the
source of these Horrors: Ashiya Douman.
It’s (It was) my birthday, so you all get a present. Due to popular (?) demand and the fact that there’s no proper BD version of this, here it is. But Dmon, why is the 720p anime 34GB? Why? Because you touch yourself at night, as does everyone else in this show. It all happens at night. You’ll notice that episode 24, which is a prequel episode, is half almost half the size. Because that’s the only one that happened mostly during the day. Anyways, I enjoyed this show, but less then Vanishing Line. There was no real dynamic between the characters that was particularly interesting.

Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Not only that, but the show had the balls to do something most shows don’t dare. So, of course, after such a daring move we were just waiting for the next big twist. And we waited, and waited, and then the show was over. Yup… this was a complete cock-tease. We were left waiting for events that should have happened but did not happen. Does not help that we spend most of the show with the soldiers from the EMPIRE. Coupled with the sheer incompetence of the Kindom and the absolute stupidity of the Princess in charge (who was built up as a strategic prodigy in the first episode), and a total ass-pull of an ending brought about by the most obvious of twists makes this show a total disappointment. So why am I releasing a BD of it? Because if I had to put up with this shit, then you have to put up with this shit.

Garo - Vanishing Line (Series rating: 8/10)
Sophie is an orphan looking for her missing big brother. Desperate to find a clue she goes to a famous fortune teller for help. Little did she know that the fortune teller was actually a Horror; a monster born out of evil feelings. As she was about to be devoured by the creature she is saved by a huge, muscular man. He is Sword, one of the few Makai Knights tasked with destroying these abominations. The two form a close bond and travel together to unravel the mystery of Sophie’s missing brother and his connection to El Dorado, a place rumored to be the ultimate utopia.
This is the third series in the Garo - The Animation franchise. I honestly could not stand the first one, Divine Flame. Way too much angst for me. The second was far better, maybe I’ll get around to it someday. But this one is my favorite. Absolutely loved Sword: a hyper-masculine caricature of action heroes, with a big heart. The steak-eating, boob-loving oaf really grows on you as he does his best to help where ever he can. Sophie was great as well, seeing her grow more confident and close to Sword was really sweet. There’s more cool characters but I’ll let you see them for yourself. MAPAA did amazing work with the animation. Sadly, the clean OP and ED are DVD only as they were not found on the BD boxes.
The subtitles are from DDY.

Boku No Hero Academia 3 (Series rating: 7/10)
The story continues with a training camp, an epic battle… and a training exercise.
OK, so maybe this season is a bit… weak. The only good part is in the middle. These training sessions are getting really boring. The first half of this season is basically a copy of the last arc of season 1, only boring. The training exercise is just a copy of the tournament arc in season 2, only boring. Thank god for season 4, we can finally see some real action again. Subs from HS. No previews because the previews on the BD are extended. Then again, this release IS encoded from the R1 blurays, so I could have gotten them. But I only remembered after deleting them, so no previews.

Youjo Senki - The Movie (Movie rating: 8/10)
Tanya’s
plan for a vacation after a hard fought (sort of) battle against the
Republic’s stragglers comes to an end when she is deployed to fight
against the Federation. To make matters worse, the Federation is aided
(sort of) by an army of volunteers (sort of), among whom a young girl
with a thirst for revenge against Tanya is sharpening her fangs. To make
matters even worse, the biggest enemy of all armies seem to be the
ones in charge.
Here we go killing again. Everyone should be happy to see our lovely murderous 40-year-old-salaryman-in-a-loli-body back in action. And trust me, there is a lot of action. Mobile Suit Gundam WISHES it had these many explosions. Also, this show gets extra point for depicting how information is transmitted from the battlefield to the supreme leader during a communist regime perfectly.
We have both 2.0 and 5.1 audio. Subs from HS. Enjoy the carnage, you monsters.

To Aru Majutsu No Index III (Series rating: 5/10)
Third season of this show. Watch Touma take on terrorists, go to
London. Watch Accelerator take on another level 5, go to Russia. Then
there’s a war.
Sorry to say, this show got JC Staffed. The pacing is bad, the animation is bad, the action is bad. The most frequent question I was asking out loud during this was “What the hell just happened?”. “Who the hell is that?” was a close second. We wait 5 years, and this is what we get? Damn, as if OPM 2 wasn’t bad enough. At least they gave Index something to do this season… kind of.

Pani Poni Dash (Series rating: 8/10)
Rebecca “Becky” Miyamoto is the youngest every graduate of MIT, at only 11 years old. She takes up a job as the teacher of class 1-C. Hijinks ensue. Her school is insane. Alsmost everyone is nuts. There’s a cat in the vanding machine that might or might not be God. There are alines monitoring Becky.
If you think that my description is somewhat short, it’s because one can’t actually describe Pani Poni Dash using regular sentences. Here’s how the writing process for this show/manga must have went:
Editor/Producers: So what is the next chapter/episode going to be about?
Mankaga/Writers: Yes.
The show is bonkers. It throws so many pop-culture references at you, from both Japan and America, that you need a guide book to get them all. Thankfully they provided the guide book. Let me explain how the subtitles work here. There are three subtitle tracks.
1: Dialogue/Signs/Songs/Graffiti: This translated everything on screen. This is the normal, default track.
2: Dialogue/Signs/Songs: This does not translate the random background text. This track is for novices who think the normal difficulty track has too much on screen text.
3: Vid-Notes/Dialogue/Signs/Songs/Graffiti: This is the same as the default track except it also provides notes for all the references that take place. For advanced readers only. You won’t actually see much of the anime using this one.
So, this is a SHAFT show. But it’s an old school SHAFT show, so there aren’t any head tilts. Also, some people claim Pani Poni Dash is devoid of fanservice. It is not. There’s plenty of it, it’s just that most of it is in the segment illustrations, or only 1 frame long.
The subtitles are vobsubs, so you have been warned. As per my policy, vobsubs are internal. The OVA uses subs from gg, since there was nothing else I could use.Made it internal so to match the rest. I will keep regular releases with external subs.
Take note, the BDs weren’t great. I did the best I could. Hell of a lot better then DVD rips though. Enjoy.

PS: This release is dedicated to that festering ooze swamp called 4chan. Those nuts are the ones who convinced me to try this show.

How NOT To Summon A Demon Lord (Series rating: 9/10)
Sakamoto Takuma, probably the strongest player in the MMORPG Cross Reverie was just minding his own business kicking ass in the game when he is summoned into another world. Of course he’s summoned as his charatcer: Diablo. The ones who summoned him were the elf Shera and the pantherian Rem. Both claim him as their servant, but sadly for them Diablo was summoned with all his in-game equipment inclusing a magic ring that reflects any and all magic back at the caster. So while they’re busy arguing about who actually summoned him the ring bouces the enslavement spell back at them making both of them Diablo’s slaves. Get sent into another world as an OP demon lord with two hot girls as your slaves? Why, that’s a dear come true. Too bad Takuma suffers from crippling social anxiety that makes it hard to talk to people and IMPOSSIBLE to talk to girls. The only way he knows how to communicate is through his demon-lord persona, so almost every word out of his mouth is chuuni bullshit. And he can’t stop himslef from talking like that. Want to greet an official from the city? “Bow down to me, peasant!”.
And so begins his quest to rule the world? Honestly, all he wants to do right now is figure out how to remove the slave collars from the girls. Usually the one who casts the spell can remove it. But the ones who cast the spell are bound BY the spell, so no luck there. Ooops.
This is one of my favorite isekai shows ever. I loved every damn thing about it. Diablo is a really cool character when he gets serious, and he’s actually kind of adorable while trying to figure out how to act like a demon lord AND save everybody. Jumping through mental hoops to make people think he’s evil while he’s saving their lives. What really helped is an early episode where is social axiety is show to stem form his childhood. It was not a fun story, and almost leads to him making a horrible mistake.
The two female leads are also fantasic and have quite some depth to them. Depth that’s usually now found in ecchi isekai anime like this.
Shera is your typical air-headed elf at first sight. Except that unlike most elfes she has huge breasts. She’s not really as stupid as she seems, and is one of the sweetest girls possible. As an elf, she’s a natural archer and even quite above most elves. But she choose persuing summoning becaue she’s lonely. Having ran away from her fellow elves, she just wanted someone to be with her so she learned summoning.
Rem is a tsundere cat-girl with a flat chest. Unlike Shera, she’s much more somber, but that’s because her backstoy is even worse then Shera’s. She’s burdened with a fragment of a demon lord dwelling inside her, and she fears that one day it will either kill her or make her kill others. For that reason she does not let anyone close. She took up summoning hoping to summon someone or something that would either stop her from turning evil or destroy her if she ever does.
While these two are great, the most adorable creature appears in the last third of the show, and dear (demon) lord, is it hard to find anything else as adorable as her.
The subs are from the last version of Asakura. Thank you. Be warned though, I removed the karaoke. I’m sorry… I hate karaoke.

Dororo (Series rating: 8/10)
The land of Daigo was in a dire state. Droughts created famine, bandits killed and pillaged, other armies invaded… it was hell. The ruler of the land, Daigo Kagemitsu, sick of waiting for the mercy of Buddha, goes to the Hall of Hell and maked a deal with the demons sealed there: he will give them whatever they want that he has if they will protect his land. What the demons wanted was his new born son. The 12 demons took parts of him: skin, nose, ears, eyes, nerves, spine, left leg, right leg, left arm, right arm and tongue. But before the last demon could take the final piece, his head, the Buddha statue that his mother prayed to sacrificed its head instead. So the child was still alive, compeltely non functional, but with the blessing of Buddha keeping him alive.
15 years later the land of Daigo is flurishing under the protection of the demons. But since the pact was not completed, neither is the protection complete. Dororo, a cunning little theif, makes a living conning people our of their money. She winesses a stange man kill a demon one day and decides to follow him around. That man is Hyakkimaru, the one who was eaten by the demons. He is on a quest to slay the demons and get his body parts back. Hyakkimaru can only sense the world around him by seeing colored souls: red for demons, white for humans, green for nature, etc… Most white souls just pass him by so why does this one keep following him around?
A remake/adaptation of Tezuka Osamu’s manga. This is a very good show. The charatcers are great, the story engaging and the battles exciting. But you have to keep somthing in mind. This show takes place in a time period where life was cheap. This makes the show quite brutal, since there is very little mercy going around. The anime also makes quite a few significant changes to the manga, which I all consider an improvement. First off, there are only 12 demons as opposed to 48 as in the manga. Second, Hyakkimaru cannot communicate at all for about half the show. In the manga he had some sort of BS telepathi that rendered his missing body parts kind of pointless. And most importantly: the anime has an ending. The manga just stops.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime (Series rating: 8/10)
Mikami Satoru was just an ordinary salary man. One day his work colleague invites him into town to meet his girlfriend.Said girlfriend was a famous actress with crazy jealous fans and one of those fans attacks Satoru’s friend with a knife. Satoru takes the hit for him and dies. But as he laid there dying a strange voice stated talking to him. He wakes up having been transported to another world. But not only that, the voice interpreted his dying words as requests. “I’m bleeding so much” meant he wants a body that does not bleed. “I’m so cold/hot” meant he wanted a body that is resistant to temperatures. As a bonus, his remark that he wished he was more aggressive with girls gets him the unique skill “Predator”, which lets him eat and copy the abilities of anything he eats. Put these all together and Satoru is not an overpowered slime monster. Join him as he befriends a dragon, leads a village of goblins and turns the little forests he lives in into a powerful alliance of monsters.
I loved this show a lot. While the OP protagonist has been done to death, this one was a tad more refreshing as the focus wasn’t really on battles. It was more about diplomacy and finding ways not to fight. Sure, there were a lot of cool battles, but the point was never to advance the plot through it. Hell, they even make you feel sorry for a few of the antagonists since at least half of them weren’t really evil. I had a lot of fun with this and I hope you will as well.
The OVA is not included, as there will be another one of those and should be uploaded separately. The subtitles are from Erai.

ruler of Japan, the dreaded Banryuu Reoko and her buranki Entei. But all

Reoko pilot a buranki by herself? Why are there no other working buranki
hearts on Earth anymore? Join Azuma as he tries to find out what
exactly happened 10 years ago.
This is one of my personal favorite shows ever. Yeah, it’s all in 3D, but the characters are very expressive and the battles are fantastic. The story is great as well. Take note, anime of today: this is how you write a story. A prequel, a beginning, a small climax in the middle, then you amp things up for the finale, deliver a fantastic ending and finish off with an epilogue. Also loved the characters. Almost all of them get some major development including the antagonists. Could not stand the Russian heart, but in the end he proved he could bee worthy of being a heart. Reoko’s four kinds may seem like standard goons at first but man are they ever not. Special mention of the designs. The bubuki are all unique and the buranki are fantastic. I mean, look at this sexy thing:
This show gets a 10/10 from me. I enjoyed it start to finish. The beginning was a bit slow, but the payoff was more then worth it. Subs from HS.

Akanesasu Shoujo (Series rating: 8/10)
Tsuchimiya
Asuka and her friends are always on the lookout for something fun to
do. One day they learn of a strange ritual they can do at precisely
4:44. So what the hell? They try it out. Turns out it was real and they
find themselves in an alternate reality, surrounded by monsters. But
someone swoops in to save them. Who? Another Asuka. They learn that
there are endless realities and each of them have a different version of
themselves. But all realities are being threatened by the Twilight, a
strange phenomenon that eats entire realities. The other Asuka tells
them to go back to their world, but the girls aren’t about to let such
an opportunity for adventure slip away.
I greatly enjoyed this show, mostly because Asuka is such a bundle of joy one can’t help fall in love with her. All the girls are good, yes, but Asuka is on another level. Who else can bug the avatar of a deity to get her some snacks? The animation is CG, but it was pretty good. Except for the fights, which aren’t the impressive. But the battles aren’t the main focus anyway. The show is much more interested in the characters and I think it does a great job in developing them.
This was part of a multi-media project that turned out to be a gigantic money hole. Sadly, it never took off. Hope you enjoy the anime. Subs are from Erai.

Kemurikusa (Series rating: 7/10)
A
desolate world, with little food or water. Anywhere you go you might be
attacked by the Red Bugs. Rin, Ritsu and Rina encounter a lost boy while
scouting for water. What is this mysterious creature, and what does it
want? Does he hold the secret of their survival? Find out.
OK, so Tatsuki made another series. This was actually created before Kemono Friends. It’s his original project, so to speak. The animation is pretty bad, but that’s part of the charm. Now, this is a different type of story then his previous show, so it will take some time getting used to it. I didn’t really enjoy the male MC for the first few episodes, found him very annoying. But I did enjoy the story. And I think you will as well.

Fuutarou is a very smart. He gets the top scores every time. But his
family is poor. So when he hears that a wealthy family is looking for a
tutor he thinks it’s his big chance to make a lot of money. He’s not
wrong, but this job is way more trouble then he bargained for. And it’s
not just one student that he has to tutor. Enter the Nanako quintuplets.
They absolutely hate studying, and some of them absolutely hate him.
Before managing to tutor them, he first has to get them to like him. In
some cases though, he might succeed more then he thought.
And old-school harem comedy that actually does things right. Each of the girls has her own distinguishable personality. Ichika is lazy, but a hard worker outside of school. Nino is distrustful and cynical, but extremely passionate and a quick thinker. Miku is shy and reclusive, but level-headed and loyal. Yotsuba is pretty dumb, but an athletic wonder and extremely cheerful. Itski is vain and naive, but headstrong and determined. And yes, it’s all numbers puns.
You might have a hard time picking a favorite girl, but there is definitely something for everyone here. By the way, my favorite turned out to be Yotsuba. I have a soft spot for genki.
Subs from HS. Enjoy.

Gundam Build Fighters Try (Series rating: 9/10)
When
Kamiki Sekai moved to the city, he was just a martial arts maniac. But
an encounter with Hoshino Fumina made him interested in Gunpla. Turns
out Sekai’s martial arts is highly compatible with Gunpla battles, and
since he loves fighting, he decided to join the club. And so began
Sekai’s journey to become champion.
Most people, when discussing the Gundam Build franchise, consider Try as being very inferior to the first season. I am the opposite. I enjoyed Try far more then the first season, mostly because I couldn’t stand Sei. I also think that having a dedicated builder and fighter on the same team isn’t fair. And the “from another world” sub-plot turned out to be meaningless.
But Try? I had so much damn fun with it. The show is pure fanservice. From Shimon, who made the Destiny Gundam so much cooler then it’s own series ever did, to the absolute bat-shit insanity of Tryon 3, basically a super-robot in a gundam universe, to the magnificent final showdown between Transient and Build Burning… I have no words.
PS: Take note, anime industry: this is how you do a childhood friend/girl next door charatcer: Fumina was fantastic.
Subs: 01-13 from nks. 14-25 from Anime-Gundam, OVA from HS.

Endro! (Series rating: 9/10)
Yulia
“Yuusha” Chardiet and her party have finally arrived before the Demon
Lord, to bring an end to its evil. But they are not strong enough, so
Yuusha busts out the super-special-one-hit-KO spell to defeat the Demon
Lord. And it works. With the Demon Lord defeated, peace has returned to
the land. Short series, wasn’t it?
Nah, now we’re starting over from before Yuusha became the hero. We get to see their adventures from start to finish. But something’s not right? Why is their new teacher a little girl? And why does she have devil wings and horns? Nobody seems to care though, because she’s so damn cute.
This show is adorable. Absolutely adorable. All the girls are great in their own way. Yuusha is a heroic air-head. Fai is an adventurer with a bottomless pit for a stomach. Seira is the voice of reason. Mei is the magic maniac. Rona is the hero worshiper. And Mao? Mao is the most previous creature to even walk the planet. This show put me in a very good mood. And while it is a fantasy SOL type of thing, the designs are pretty… lewd. It took me 6 episodes to realize that Mei’s panties are always partially visible from the sides.

Date A Live S3 (Series rating: 5/10)
So
yeah, season 3. This season deals with the 7th spirit, the creation of
the 8th, and Shido’s overload. Not much to say about the contents of the
show.
So instead let’s talk about JC Staff. They sure knocked it out of the park this time. They knocked it so hard it went around the world and hit them in the back of the head, leaving them in a puddle of their own piss. This season is a MESS. The animation, what little there is, is terrible. The plot was hacked to pieces with huge chunks of it missing. People pull powers out of their ass because the parts where that power was either introduced or foreshadowed was cut. At the cherry on top: last episode is one WHOLE volume of the LN, with everything important that happened in that volume cut for time. Spoiler: while Shido was OP, he actually did some things that matter a lot for the next arc. JC Staff fucked up, just how they fucked up Index 3 (if you haven’t read the LN you will have no clue as to what the hell is going on) and One Punch Man S2 (the animation and pacing were garbage). And this season they are doing FOUR shows: Accelerator, Machikado Mazoku, Okaasan wa Suki desu ka? and Danmachi S2. Can’t wait to see the QUALITY. Fuck you JS Staff, you used to be great.

Ueno-san Wa Bukiyou (Series rating: 9/10)
Ueno
is a genius. She makes inventions that can revolutionize the world on a
daily basis. From equipment that can create drinkable water out of
nowhere to a device that creates life from inanimate objects, Ueno can
make them all. Too bad the only thing she ever does with them is make
convoluted plans to get Tanaka to notice her feelings for him. Also
doesn’t help that most of her plans are perverted: trying to get Tanaka
to drink water made from her own urine, having him sniff her leggings so
he gets attached to her smell, etc… Tanaka, for his part, seems not to
notice. Or does he? Over the course of the series he gets to do things
that most people would have to travel to a third world country and pay
through the nose to do. So maybe Tanaka is not as dense as he seems.
It’s hard to do anime comedies well. Ueno-san does. It’s so over the top that is actually made me laugh out loud. I kind of feel sorry for Ueno though. She cannot catch a break.Subs from Erai. Enjoy.

Hugtto! Precure (Series rating: 8,5/10)
Nono
Hana is ready to have her first day at a new school. She’s made the
decision to reinvent herself, and be the cool girl she always wanted to
be. That goes about as well as you’d expect of a pink haired Precue
protagonist. Hana may not be very bright, or very athletic, or very
gracious but she more then makes up for it with her cheerfulness and
friendliness. Obviously, she is chosen as a Precure who must defend the
world, and the beby Hug-tan from the evil Kurai Company (an obvious jab
as companies in Japan who abuse their workers). She is joined by her two
new friends, Saaya and Homare, as well as Hug-tan’s guardian, the
mouse… I mean hamster, Harry.
Let me tell you, I love Precure. I did not pay much attention to the franchise at first, but I decided to watch Heart Catch Precure because Mizuki Nana was in it. And then I was hooked. Sure, not all seasons are as great, but they are enjoyable as all hell. Sadly, for me, the franchise went down with Happiness Charge. They made some very questionable choices, like adding in 3DCG attacks (they look terrible, but cost a lot less to make) and a final battle/boss that was underwhelming to say the least. It picked back up with Go! Princess, that has a fantastic final battle, but kept the 3DCG attacks. The low point was Kirakira PreCure a la Mode. In the mother of all idiotic ideas, TOEI did away with all close quarter combat for that season, making all the battles repetitive and boring. Also, they had the worst final boss in all Precure series, and I’m counting the giant black hole in Smile.
Hugtto! set out to fix what they broke. CQC was back in full force, the 3DCG was used very little and the final boss, while not having an epic battle due to his nature, was great.
Current season is also knocking out of the park, so the franchise is back on the right tracks.
The only downside to the show is the epilogue, which was, in my opinion, terrible. I know the birth rate is down in Japan, but ending your show with an actual on screen birth is not something I wanted. Also, for a show about accepting the future, Emiru sure as hell got stuck in the past.
The subtitles are from anon, who did a fantastic job. Enjoy the show, it’s great.
PS: Emiru is the best, but is only perfect with Lulu next to her. Those two were adorable.

Mobile Suit Gundam Narative (Series rating: 6/10)
One
year after the events of Gundam Unicorn, the world is still not at
peace. In fact, the tragedy that is about to unfold started even before
the events of the past OVA series.
Cyber-Newtypes. Created through horrible experiments on children by the most depraved and power-hungry divisions of the military. Jona Basta, a survivor of those experiments, is about to set out on a journey that has him find his lost childhood friends. But those friends are not what they used to be anymore.
I enjoyed Unicorn a lot, but this sequel not so much. Stunning animation, great music, fantastic battles… but a very lackluster and quite depressing story. It almost makes everything Banagher and Audrey did in Unicorn seem meaningless. That might have been the point, but I still don’t like it. It ends on a bittersweet note though (?), so it’s not a complete tragedy. But neither did it accomplish anything.
Contains 5.1 and 2.0 audio, Japanese only.Subtitles are PGS from the BD.

Uma Musume - Pretty Derby (Series rating: 8/10)
This
show takes place in a world like ours. But with one difference. There
are no horses. Just horse girls. Named after actual famous horses.
Special Week just moved into the big city with dreams of becoming a
champion. Watch her struggle with a new school, new team and a new
coach. Does she have what it takes to become the champion? Did I mention
the horse girls have to sing and dance after every performance? Because
they do.
This show came out of nowhere. The premise was stupid and it was an obvious commercial for a mobile game. Except real effort was put into it and made it a very enjoyable watch. The girls are a delight and there are actual races in this thing. Also, is the game EVER coming out?
Episode subs by HS, extra episode subs by GH. Contains both 5.1 and 2.0 audio tracks. Japanese only.

Watashi Ni Tenshi Ga Maiorita! (Series rating: 9/10)
Meet
Miyako. She is an extremely shy college student who spends her time off
locked up in her room making cosplay outfits. She doesn’t have any
friends and is too shy to try and make any. But when her extremely
hyperactive and overly attached sister Hinata brings home a friend, all
that changes. When Miyako lays her eyes on Hana, her heart skips a beat.
Could this be love? Could this college girl have fallen in love at
first sight with a grade school girl? Well, not really. Miyako sure
thinks that, but in reality she’s just amazed at how adorable Hana is.
That doesn’t stop her from being amazingly creepy about it though.
Things get more interesting when the new girl next door, also a grade
school girl, Noa, befriends Hinata and Hana. Noa is a complete attention
whore, but Miyako only has eyes for Hana. She has cosplay outfits for
all of them though.
While the premise might be icky, the show turned out great and had some really sweet moments. I enjoyed the hell out of it (also where I’m going, since I like this show).Say it with me now: MYA-NEE!!!

FLCL Alternative (Series rating: 7/10)
Well,
here we are, more then 18 years later, watching the second FLCL sequel.
It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t mind blowing either. I enjoyed it, and I
do think it does have some interestin things about it. Animation’s
pretty good, but it’s just not as memorable. Worth a watch if you
enjoyed the original. Subs are from the Erai-Raws release. Sound is 5.1.
Yeah, not much to say about this one either. I kind of enjoyed Progressive a little more, but that’s mostly because I like Hidomi a little better then Kana.
