Asobi Asobase (Series raing: 8/10)

Do you like shows about cute girls doing cute things? Of course you do. Who doesn’t? And aren’t these three girls cute? Of course they are. They made their own club to hang out and do fun things. It’s cute, right? WRONG. There three little shits are pretty much terrible people. And boy is it entertaining to see what trouble they’ll get into because they lies about knowing English, or they want to know if a girl is transexual, or God knows what else. Funny stuff indeed. Highly recommended.

Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory (Series rating: 6/10)

For centuries, I was dormant. But not I have awakened. Season 4 of FMP after “some” time has passed. The waiting is finally over and what we got is… meh.Yeah, not gonna lie, this was very lackluster. It had a pretty strong beginning, but the middle part with the retarded robot fighting tournament was basically canon filler. The characters met were pretty much pointless and the shocking revelation was… completely missing. It was just spinning its gears until the final episodes where the action picked up… and ended on a cliffhanger. See you in 2040 for season 5. But hey, it’s FMP, so I guess we gotta watch, right? Curse you, KyoAni, for making me love Fumoffu so much that I’ll gulp down anything FMP related. Yes, that was my favorite season. COME AT ME, BRO!!!

Fate Apocrypha (Series rating: 7/10)

The Holy Grail War is a sacred battle between 7 masters. Each mage summons a servant from one of the seven classes and fight for the Holy Grail. The survivor will be granted a wish. While some servant classes are stronger then others anyone has a chance to win. So what happens if, before the war begins, you use politics, magic and trickery to get all seven masters on the same side and guarantee that the war ends in one hour, tops? Basically, the Holy Grail says “Fuck you!” and summons seven more masters and servants to fight with the first team of seven. Didn’t see that coming, huh, master planner. But wait, there’s more! Did you know there is an 8th class? You did? Avenger, you say? Sorry, wrong universe. Enter the Ruler class. A special class that needs no master (sort of) and who has the duty to observe the Holy Grail War to make sure the rules are followed. Spoiler: didn’t do a very good job this time. The Ruler class is basically the Saber class on steroids. And this particular Ruler servant is basically Saber with a flag. Since this war was fucked from the start, delve into a complete free for all as 15 characters duke it out for the grail, with more incoming.
This show is a bit of a mess, but an enjoyable mess. The story is a bit lackluster and the final antagonist is… pretty much a fanfic character who somehow got written into the story. But we do have some amazing battles, in particular Lancer of Red VS Saber of Black. GodDAMN was that beautiful, on an artistic level alone. So check it out, you might enjoy it. To be fair it’s not that much of a more clusterfuck then the main Fate series.

elDLIVE (Series rating: 5/10)

Another entry in the “Who gives a crap?” catalogue. This is based on a manga from the author of Hitman Reborn. It’s… not very good. It does have the advantage of having FAR less yaoi bait though, so that’s something it its favor. Also the character designs for the ladies are quite good. The story is less so and the battles are pretty lame. Still…
Chuuta is an orphan that lives with his aunt. When he was younger he and his friends got into a accident and he was the only survivor. What let him survive was the fact that an alien symbiote/creature bonded with him, allowing him to survive. Now, since the creature is very rare and powerful, he has been invited/forced to join the space police to protect the earth from aliens. But what’s this? His crush is also on the space police AND she’s an alien?

lostorage conflated WIXOSS (Series rating: 5/10)

Well, here it is. The final (?) season. If you’ve watched this far there’s no point in me making a plot synopsis considering this is season 4.What can I say? I have no idea what the hell is going on anymore. Are there even any rules at this point? And what’s worse is that, again, there’s not enough Tama.I don’t know… I don’t care anymore. Whatever.

Maquia - When The Promised Flower Blooms (Series rating: 9/10)

This has the subs from Mezashite. They have informed us that they would not be releasing a 720p version, otherwise I would not be releasing this with their subs. This has 5.1 and 2.0 audio. If you don’t have a 5.1 system, you should use the 2.0, as a general rule.
Now, about the movie. Personally, I loved it. It’s no happy ride though. This is Okada Mari in her first full directorial debut. And she did a fine job. Movie is almost 2 hours long but it sure didn’t feel like it. Speaking of “feel”… you get the picture.
So, who wants to live forever? A lot of people do, or at least they think they do. There is this tribe called the Iorph that have unlocked the secret of eternal life. Naturally, a lot of nations what that knowledge. So the tribe gets attacked and Maquia, a young (?) Iorph girl is separated from everyone she ever knew. As she gives up hope entirely she comes across a baby. Deciding to take care of him, Maquia must learn how to truly live in order to protect someone else.

Mahoujin Guru Guru (2017) (Series rating: 9/10)

Do you like RPGs? Do you like quests? Do you like magic? Of course you do. Enjoy the remake of an old 1994 anime that about as old school as a good old NES.
Nike does not want to be a hero. His parents, on the other hand, do want him to be one. So they compromised: Nike will be a hero. He is tasked with protecting the mast member of an ancient race that can use Guru Guru to defeat the demon king. The young girl is named Kukuri, and she’s one of the cutest creatures known to man. Seriously, she’s freaking adorable. Together they will travel the world to learn even more Guru Guru spell to eventually defeat the demon kind… where ever he might be. Yeah… our heroes don’t really know what they’re doing. But it’s OK, nobody else does either.
PS: The Puchi Anime Theater is not translated.

Chio's School Road (Series rating: 7.5/10)

Chio is an ordinary high school girl. Kind of… She’s a hardcore gamer and she sometimes tries to apply what he does in games on her way to school. She’s weird, yeah. Her friends aren’t any better. Manana is her best friend who’s just as bad except she doesn’t game. Yuki is an exhibitionist that wears her track club uniform to school because it’s “exciting”. Also, everyone in the show is kind of an asshole. Which is why it’s funny to watch. Everyone gets in some sort of weird predicament mostly because of their own actions. I thought it was funny as hell.
PS: The two .exe files are games that were on the BDs. I can’t seem to pass the first level. Also, they seem to be the same game, but were labeled differently and have a different file size. But since I can’t pass the first level, I don’t know.

Kage Kara Mamoru (Series rating: 5/10)

The Kagemori clan has protected their next door neighbours, the Konnyaku family, for 400 years. Each family member is an actual ninja, including the dog. They each protect a member of the Konnyaku family. Mamoru is tasked with keeping their daughter, Yuuna, out of trouble. Unfortunately Yuuna is clumsy, absent minded and a little stupid. She’s a magnet for any kind of trouble from mobsters to aliens. Mix in Mamoru’s friend for the ninja village, a rival ninja, a samurai and more and you have yourself a wacky comedy from the mid 2000s.

The Seven Deadly Sins - Revival Of The Comandments (Series rating: 8/10)

After the defeat of Hendrikson peace has returned to the land. Our brave warriors enjoy a respite as things slowly go back to normal for the kingdom. Sadly, that peace is short lived as an even greater threat rises: the revival of the Ten Commandments. The most powerful demons serving under the Demon Lord himself have been released from their seal and are ready to take revenge upon the races that imprisoned them. Our heroes are powerless to fight them and must go though training to obtain enough power to stand against them. They must also find the final member of their team, the Sin of Pride, who is rumored to be so powerful that he could turn the tide of this war around. Not only that, but the Ten Commandments know of, and harbor a deep hatred towards Melliodas. What happened in the past? Find this out and more.
Here comes the second season. BTW, before you watch this you should watch the 4 OVAs that bridge the two seasons.

Ongaku Shoujo (Series rating: 5/10)

Hanako wants to be an idol. She’s actually really talented. She can dance, create choreography, sew and more. One thing she can’t do? Sing. She’s completely tone deaf. So when she auditions for a spot on the new group Music Girls, she fails. But her many skills as well as her great attitude and ability to bring out the best in people have her stay on as the manager, helping the members of the group to solve their problems and bond with each other.
This series is related to an old OVA from 2015. It’s a modest production with not much going for it except maybe it’s can-do attitude. It’s mediocre in almost every aspect but it doesn’t do anything really bad so as to get people to actively hate it. It’s cute, like a puppy. You can’t get mad at it, it’s doing its best.
