Status report

Alright, time for some status report. Things were a little hectic in RL for the past month, so here's the thing.


1. 11eyes is dropped. FTV-Wasurenai  is releasing a very nice 720p, which I am also downloading. As such, I see no reason to continue my work. Thank you FTV-Wasurenai for saving me the trouble.

2. Umineko No Naku Koro Ni is stalled indefinitely. I have no raws or ISOs to work with, so I have no way to release more 720p. IF raw>13 THEN release +.


3. Needless is progressing nicely. Gonna try for 3 episodes a week.


4. Dance In The Vampire Bund is in the works. I have chosen to use the Yuurisan scripts, because I liked them more. The fact that those got more votes had not actual contribution to this decision.

5. D4 Princess is going slowly, but it is in no way dropped. I will probably release this whole, or in batches of 6.

6. Haibame Renmei. What a lovely show. I actually hadn't see this before. Expect the 720p soon. I think this will also be a batch release.

7. Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Yes! Pretty Cure 5 are both stalled for now. I'm not in the mood to work on those right now.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - 2nd (Bluray, 720p, THORA) (Show rating: 6.5/10)

 Same deal as before, except this time, there is no other 720p version. Also, this season was worse then the first, with plots and super powers coming out of nowhere. Also, Marina is the most useless "main" female character in any Gundam show. Fa? She even piloted an MS to help out once. Relana? Almost united the whole damn world. Lacus? Stole one of the god-tier Gundams and a freaking battleship. Marina? Sang a song.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (Bluray, 720p, THORA) (Show rating: 8/10)

  Two days ago I wanted to finally update my Gundam 00 with sexy Bluray rips. But, the only versions I found were not to my liking. The first was OCZ. It had English audio(waste of space), official subs (inferior to Menclave) and not so good timing (when a person cut over someone else, it would show the second persons lines above the first, but before he/she started talking, because of the shitty R1 subs). So, I turned to THORA, but their 1080p seemed like a waste of space (many would disagree, and that's alright). So, I made this re-encode from THORA's files, in 720p. Now, don't worry, everything is identical, and yes, the ordered chapters still work fine. The only bone I have to pick with THORA is that they stopped making regular chapters for the episodes after 13. Why? No clue, but I've never seen anime that uses ordered chapters and lacks regular chapters.

It's summer hollyday for me!

Alright, I finally finished my exams, with 4 A+ and 1 A-, thank you very much, so, I'm going to get cracking on some anime projects starting next week. I have a ton of things I want to do, so there's going to be updates on lot's of things, but first, lemme just give a small preview of what I'm going to be working on. The releases, however, will be 100% random. Included is a screen shot from the encodes.

D4 Princess (DVD)
I'll finally have time to get this one down. I'm using my own DVD rips, provided buy a very nice guy from BoxTorrents 2 years ago. Hate to say, I forgot his name, but he has my thanks. FYI, this show will fit perfectly on one DVD when it's completed.

Urusai Yatsura OVA (DVD)
Yes, I'm going to release this. Someone provided me with a DVD ISO, and I've already encoded it.

Nurse Angel Ririka SOS (DVD)
This show is very dear to me, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why it didn't catch on. Maybe it was too dark, I don't know. What I do know is that I finally got all 35 DVD episodes encoded and ready to go.

Rental Magica (DVD)
Why yes, I will be doing the last 15 DVD rips episodes of this. The first 9 episodes were done in DVD quality by Shinsen and T_T a long time ago, but nobody bothered to do the rest. Well, I bother.

Well, I have the first 14 episodes encoded from the bluray...all I can say is MEMORIZED!

Bet you didn't see this coming. Arienai stopped at 19, and nobody ever continued. I have all the rest of the episodes encoded, even though the quality is a little shoddy sometimes. Hey, it was a bitch to get even these files, so don't complain or I'll shove a pretty cure plastic toy up your ass.

Note: Yes! Pretty Cure 5 delayed indefinitely because of raw problem.

Well, isn't this unexpected? Moetan got the least number of votes, yet here it is. Well, I always thought polls were kind of boring, so in a twist ending, I've decided to do the shows based on my poll, in reverse, from least votes to most. Now isn't that something?

About that poll...

Before anyone else asks, yes, I would actually try and deliver the DVD version of the winner*. I already have the raws for the series I added to the poll. However, feel free to suggest anything else, but following the following rules:

1. Series must NOT have a DVD/Bluray version with English subtitles either completed or ongoing (stalled for months is OK)
2. Series must have been subbed at some point in English (I will not translate myself, I do enough of that on current shows), and must be available for download in a reasonably accessible way. **
3. Raws must exist, and access to them must be relatively appropriate.

tl;dr version: suggest a show that was subbed, but has no DVD/Bluray version.

*: I will start this new series after I finish D4 Princess next month (first half)
**: If the group who's subs I am using objects to them being used, he/she may contact me and ask me to stop using them


Later edit: OK, forgot something important. I like anime like Needless, Nanoha, Gundam SEED, Bleach, etc. I'm a "mainstream" anime fan. I do not usually like overly experimental anime (Kuuchuu Buranko), I hate boring slow-moving plots (most Bee-Train), I don't like sports anime, and I have an aversion to ninja/samurai anime (don't know why, I just don't  like those historicalish types). Basically, I won't bother with the types of shows that get dropped by all groups for lack of interest (unless I'm personally interested), or get one group working on them (like Kuuchuu Buranko).

Third time is a charm

Well, this is my third attempt at making a blog that does not suck. We'll see how it goes. Gonna start posting releases soon. First it's going to be the long awaited (?) D4 Princess. This project was started long ago, stalled, and has now been resurrected. After that, I'm going to be doing something I've been wanting to do for a long time: Rental Magica DVD. And after that, who knows? But first, as a test of this damn blog, I'm going to post the first 10 episodes of The Sacred Blacksmith that I have been releasing these past months.
