Yes! Precure 5 (HDTV, 720p)

A complete collection of Yes! Precure 5 in 720p. READ BELOW! There are things you should know of.
Episode 01-20 were done by Arienai. 21-49 were encoded by me, but the subs come from the PCSS DVD version. There are two things you should know:

1. A 720p transport stream of the original airing of episode 34 was never provided, so I had to use the transport stream from the Animax re-airing. As such, episode 34 does not have the ED and preview. Animax aired two episodes back to back, and cut the ED and previews.
2. Episodes 25-26 and 32-42 had shortened previews for the TV airing, to make room for toy ads and the movie. The DVD version had the full preview, so I left the subtitles for those. That way, you can at least read all of it. The TV previews are just a few lines from the full preview.

    1. Okay, I know my releases aren't exactly perfect, but "eye-cancer," really?

    2. Just as there are people who claim all 8bit releases are shit now that 10bit is available, so too are there people that claim all 480p is shit now that 720p is available. You need to treat these people the same: ignore. Sure, a DVD rip cannot, usually, look as good as a HDTV rip, because of technical limitation, but they are hardly unwatchable.

PS: Zalis, I left a post on your chatbox at your blog.

    3. Sorry if it sounded agressive, I can assure you it wasn't my intention and I greatly appreciate your subbing work but I found it pretty hard to switch from the arienai release to the dvd rip, just my personal autism, nothing you could do about it really.

    4. I think you should refrain from calling stuff "eye-cancer" unless it's poorly encoded. Believe me, you'll know it when you see it. Like when DVD rips aren't deinterlaced properly, or when stuff is encoded with the wrong frame rate. Now THAT is eye-cancer.

    5. I stand corrected, sorry if I offended anyone and keep up the good work.

  2. I love the fact that you did this, however it's wreaking havoc on uTorrent 3 b/c it's not letting me set the directory that I want it to be in (i.e. where I already have the Arienai files - which is not named the same way as you named your directory). This is actually uTorrent's fault, not yours. I hate it when people try to "fix" things that didn't need to be fixed in the first place. I'm also having issues connecting to my [PreCure]AllStars bot on rizon.

Anyhoo... All that to say is that hopefully I'll have them seeding and up on the bot /sometime/. Not sure when. Thx, Dmon. ^__^

    1. Odd. I'm using uTorrent 3.2.2 and it's showing the folders just fine. I didn't even know there was a problem. Sorry to hear that.

    2. BTW, you can just do this:
      1. Start download anywhere.
      2. Once the .!ut files are created, stop the torrent and delete the ones in the Arienai folder.
      3. Move complete Arienai files into the folder where you just deleted the .!ut files.
      4. Do a forced recheck and then start the torrent again. It should recognize the completed Arienai episodes.

    3. I wouldn't necessarily mind, but that fucks where the bot looks for the files. I just wish uTorrent hadn't /fixed/ their stuff that wasn't broken to begin with... OTL

Also, I /see/ the directories just fine, it just won't let me /change/ the name of the top level directory. It's a known "feature" in uTorrent 3..................

    4. Huh... I had no idea you could even DO that in previous versions...

  3. Personally I would have just upscaled and spliced in the DVD versions of the missing content, but I can understand if you're against the idea.

  5. I'm pretty sure Magenta and LobsterHime did some analyzing back when Aesir was actively working on Yes! 5 and found that the HD broadcasts were just upscales of the SD ones, rather than actual HD animation, so you're not really getting any better quality out of these than from the DVD versions.

    1. No, they are not, you idiot. If you are saying that the DVD version looks just as good as these HDTV rips, you need a new pair of eyes, or you haven't actually SEEN these HDTV rips.

  6. Is there any major difference between the DVD and Tv rips? Other than resolution.

    1. I outlined some of the reasons I prefer the DVD version (for this and any Pretty Cure series) in this post. But it all comes down to what fits best with your preferences and your display.

    2. Those are all very valid points.

  8. Thank you very much for this release! By the way, do you have another version of ep1-20? I want just soft-subbed one, but Arienai subs made them hard-subbed...
