  1. This post works fine. Maybe at some point add in the subs you are using to the currently working on list. *yeah I realize its in the posts themselves usually but a guy can hope right. Makes it easy to figure out if it's a skip or not.

  2. Sasami-san@Ganbaranai turned out much better than you would have expected from that weird first episode. Hopefully, someone (you?) picks it up. It has actually been quite interesting and deserves a blu-ray release.

  3. >Choosing commie for multiple shows where they're the worst option
    >Not choosing Commie for the one show you definitely should
    I am disappoint

    1. Well, it's a good thing you're not vague about it, otherwise people wouldn't know what you mean.

    2. He might be referring to Kotoura-san.

    3. Well... that's a tricky one. On one hand, AnimeNOW does have some translation issues, but Commie is a little too liberal for my tastes.

      Delete
    4. English is not my native language so I can't really comment on the phrasing, but Commie's script has less translation flaws and is easier to follow.

      Delete
    5. Is Japanese your native language? Because if it isn't, or at least isn't your second language, you can't really comment on translation flaws.

    6. I really don't like Commie (esp ever since Girls Und Panzer)
I would really prefer if the subbers retain the name honorifics and such (e.g. -kun, -san, -chan...etc)

Also, am I the only one who thinks that the moe-ness of a char disappears when she says "bro" or "big brother" rather than "Oni-chan" in the subs..?

I really wish stuffs like that (sempai, sensei, etc) remain the way it is rather than translated...

    7. Cool story, but what's your point?

  4. I think u should watch Sakurasou, that show is definitely worth-watching.

    1. It already has a BD group releasing it, and I haven't followed it, so it's not on the list.

    2. coalgirls are doing sakuraso.

  5. In my opinion, you shouldn't use Commie for anything unless they're your only option. Of course, that's just my opinion.

  6. Please do Vividred Operation if nobody does it.

    1. Actually, I'll do it if nobody's doing it with JK subs. The others are pretty bad.

  7. Dude, you should do Utena's BD-Box, bdmv is on nyaa

    1. No, I don't do older shows anymore. I tend to lose interest if it's not something that comes out once a month.

  8. What about Psycho-pass?

    1. Well, AnimeNOW is releasing it. Slowly, but surely.

  9. I don't see Sora no Otoshimono Forte anywhere on that list...does that mean it is dropped?

    1. Yes. [KTHX-Nekomimi] release it, with both Nekomimi subs and clean OP/ED spliced in. Exactly the way I wanted to release it.

  10. Are commie's subs really worth it for Tamako? I always thought Mazui's were better...

    1. I liked Commie better, but Mazui are also great. Personal choice.

  15. From your list, FFF has confirmed themselves for...
Date A Live, Hataraku Maou-sama, Shingeki no Kyojin, HenNeko, Suisei no Gargantia and Valvrave.
They're also planning Crime Edge, but with a different group's subs.
I've also heard that commie plans to do Yuyushiki themselves, so i guess you aren't left with a whole lot.

    1. They did say some of them weren't confirmed, I'll just wait and see.
Also, some subs are equivalent, so I wouldn't shed tears.

  16. just want to know, what is the source of your release? BDMV or pure RAW?

  19. how about doing Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo? Coalgirls stopped at Ep9

    1. Well, the source for volume 4 (episodes 10-12) just appeared a couple of days ago, so I don't think they dropped it.

  22. Could I interest you in doing Mahou Sensei Negima Blu-Rays? Negima TV-series and the first two OVA's (Natsu & Haru) have only been released on DVD, but the two later OVA's (Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba & Mou Hitotsu no Sekai) plus the movie (called Anime Final) have been released on a BD-box. Currently there's no subbed version from a blu-ray source out, ReinForce has released raws.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You know what? I'll consider it. I don't know about those raws though. The comments say they have serious audio problems.

      Delete
    2. I haven't bothered downloading from ReinForce, because I wouldn't understand the raws anyway.

If you ever get around doing them and have trouble finding decent subs, I have AquaStar-Anime's releases of the two OVA-series in storage (had to search for a while of the softsubbed version of Mou Hitotsu no Sekai) and Mamiko's release of Magical Girl Yue bonus, which AQS never subbed (bonus has also been released by TTZ, but my non-native opinion of the subs is that Mamiko's is clearly better).

      Delete
    3. Yes, the Mamiko subs for Mou Hitotsu are better. I should know, I wrote them. :D

      Delete
    4. Well that's something new :D There was no credits on the bonus so I didn't realize, but now I dug up Mamiko's old blog and saw your name popping up. Well I guess if you get around doing BD's you'll be using your own subs then, hopefully you'll also get AR correct this time around ;)

AQS's Shiroki Tsubasa Ala Alba is easily found on BakaBT.

    5. I would love a BD release of this, too!

My current collection has practically what went out first back then, and I really disliked TTZ, so I never bothered to swap any of the files. Besides, I still like SFW's work quite a lot. But, if it's for BD rips, I will jump on the opportunity to download them.

P.S. where's Maze in this status page? Or am I just blind?

      Delete
    6. Maze was never on this page, since volumes don't come out. There used to be a small banner on the right about Maze, but It was a pain to update, so I removed it. It's still being worked on though. Also, since finishing up Hatenkou Yugi, the Negima OVAs are next on my backlog of things I've always wanted to do but never got around too.

      Delete
    7. Oh, I thought removing it from there meant it was to be moved in here. Cool, looking forward to Maze and Negima.

P.S. Maze. It just feels not like my comment if I don't prod you for this. Sorry.

But if your not doing it that's cool thanks for the response

    1. They just removed the heart blocking. And that heart was blocking... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. There was nothing to censor in the first place. Nothing they "censored" for the TV airing couldn't be shown on TV. They lied to get more BD sales, and fortunately, they FAILED.
